Usually when I go to Ithaca to visit my brother and sister-in-law (Upstate Emily) we eat at their restaurant Fine Line Bistro. But the way things worked out I went up on a Tuesday, the day their restaurant is closed. So I asked if they would indulge me and take a trip to Glenwood Pines.

Although Glenwood Pines has a great view of Lake Cayuga, that's not why you go. It's all about their "world famous" Pinesburger. Ask anyone who graduated from Cornell or IK (Ithaca College...ha ha) where to get a burger and they'll send you to this out of the way road side joint.
I imagine that other than the twisty lakeside road it would be an ideal place
to go after a night of partying when you start to get the midnight munchies.
But, believe me it's just as good (sober) in the middle of the day!

Glenwood Pines, has a huge bobble-head collection above the bar.
Very quirky and cool! And our favorite thing (next to the burgers)
is their famously fun place mat with hidden items...especially good for
playing eye-spy with your almost 4 year old niece.

Emily and I are pretty sure we could complete the 4Pinesburger challenge...just cringe at the thought of how long it would take to work it all off.
And now the moment you've been waiting for...
The Pinesburger!!!
